Kathy Gallagher appointed General Counsel for the Pennsylvania Republican Party
Porter Wright is proud to congratulate Kathleen Gallagher on her appointment as the first female General Counsel for the Republican Party of Pennsylvania. Party chair Lawrence Tabas announced Gallagher’s appointment in a press release on Sept. 18, 2019.
Gallagher is a partner in Porter Wright’s Litigation group in Pittsburgh. She has more than 30 years of litigation experience with a focus on complex commercial and business litigation including real estate, contract, construction, trademark, securities fraud and environmental disputes.
As a member of the firm’s Election Law Representation practice group, Kathy brings nearly 20 years of experience in representing elected officials and legislative bodies in redistricting matters and election matters, having represented clients in the U.S. Supreme Court and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court as well as U.S. District Courts in both Pennsylvania and Virginia.
