Jodka quoted in HR Compliance article

Sara Jodka, an attorney in Porter Wright's Labor and Employment Department, was quoted in an article online as part of Thompson's HR Compliance eXpert titled, "Courts uphold firing, deny FMLA retaliation claim" regarding a Farm company that fired a manager on the day he was due back from FMLA leave.

From Thompson's, Daniel Cafaro reporting:
"'Just because an employee takes FMLA leave, he or she is not insulated from termination or lay-off,' says Porter Wright attorney Sara Hutchins Jodka. 'The FMLA does not give an employee a greater right to reinstatement or a protection against termination than the employee would get if the employee had not taken FMLA leave.'"
