Hultsch, Storts named co-chairs of IAPP KnowledgeNet

Christina Hultsch, an attorney at Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP, and Mark Storts, associate general counsel at Nationwide Insurance, have been named co-chairs of KnowledgeNet, the local chapter of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), for a two-year term beginning January 2013.

The IAPP is a not-for-profit association that helps define, support and improve the global privacy profession through networking, education and certification. With more than 10,000 members in 70 countries, it is the largest and most comprehensive information privacy community and resource in the world.

As an associate at Porter Wright, Hultsch counsels European clients on a variety of U.S. legal matters, including general corporate, transactional and employment issues. She also advises U.S. based clients on EU and German law with a concentration on employment, technology and data privacy. Hultsch serves on the American Bar Association Section of International Law's International Employment committee and Privacy, E-Commerce and Data Security committee, and is chair of the Columbus Bar Association's International Law Committee. She received her law degree in Germany and her Ph.D. in comparative bankruptcy law magna cum laude at Technical University Dresden/Germany.

For Nationwide Insurance, Storts provides in-house legal counsel on information security, privacy policies and data governance, and works closely with information risk management on issues such as risk assessments, data loss prevention and compliance governance. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), a Certified FAIR Risk Analyst and a HIPAA Associate. For two years, Storts has served as a mediator for the Franklin County Municipal Court. He received his law degree from Capital University Law School.
