Christopher R. Schraff Named Fellow In American College of Environmental Lawyers

Porter Wright is pleased to announce Christopher Schraff, partner in the firm’s Environmental Law Practice Group, has been elected as a fellow in the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL). He was invited into fellowship with the organization by the current members and joins his colleague and Porter Wright partner, Robert Brubaker.

The American College of Environmental Lawyers is a professional organization comprised of notable private practice lawyers focused in the field of environmental law. Members of the association are dedicated to maintaining and improving the standards of practice, administration of justice, and ethics of the profession, and to contributing to the development of environmental law at both the state and federal level.
“We are incredibly proud of this honor for Chris. As one of the nation’s preeminent environmental attorneys, Chris’ dedication to his clients and practice are clear,” said Robert W. (Buzz) Trafford, Porter Wright’s Managing Partner.

Chris’ focus in environmental law spans more than three decades and includes regulatory, enforcement, and permitting matters — particularly in the area of water issues. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for the area of Environmental Law in every edition since 1991, was named the Best Lawyers’ 2010 Columbus, Ohio Environmental Lawyer of the Year, is recognized by Ohio Super Lawyers®, and is listed in Chambers USA as one of Ohio’s leading attorneys in Environmental Law.
