Carolyn "Candi" Taggart, partner in the firm’s Cincinnati office, talked to a local television and radio station about the importance of raising the awareness of the dangers of melanoma, and the upcoming Andy Caress Block the Sun Run/Walk. The Andy Caress Melanoma Foundation, which is named after Taggart’s son who was diagnosed with and passed away from melanoma, is dedicated to eliminating melanoma through awareness, prevention and support to find a cure. The race will be held at Cincinnati’s Glendale Square on May 16 at 5 p.m. All proceeds from the race will be used to directly support this mission. Last year, the race generated $25,000 that was donated to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center to be used for melanoma research. Porter Wright is a Gold Level Sponsor of the organization and will have team of runners/walkers in the race. Information about registering for the race can be found here.
