Ira Belcove, Bob Hermes, Catherine Isely, Andy Shapiro and Mark Schwartz presented a negotiation workshop with the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Run-Off Companies (AIRROC) at The Standard Club Chicago on February 26, 2014.  This interactive event is designed to translate education into action for real-world disputes.

  • LEARN pre-negotiation analysis and negotiation strategies from Lynn P. Cohn, Clinical Professor of Law, Harry B. Reese Teaching Chair and Director of the Center on Negotiation and Mediation at Northwestern University School of Law.
  • ASK questions and obtain insights about negotiating with the OSD during a unique lunch-time Q&A with Paul A. Miller, Special Deputy Receiver and Chief Executive Officer, Representing Andrew Boron, Director of Insurance, Illinois Department of Insurance, and Mr. Miller’s colleague at the OSD, Michael Cosentino, Senior Manager, Reinsurance.
  • PRACTICE pre-negotiation analysis and negotiation during mock negotiations facilitated by workshop faculty comprised of prominent insurance and reinsurance company executives and counsel.
  • NETWORK with industry colleagues during a cocktail party hosted by Butler Rubin.
