Karri is an associate in the Firm's Washington, D.C. office where she concentrates her work in matters related to international business and trade transactions, export controls, and antitrust litigation. She regularly counsels clients on issues related to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
Prior to joining Porter Wright, Karri worked for global defense manufacturers and brokers as an export/import compliance manager, international trade specialist, and consultant. In those roles, she was responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive compliance programs across multinational organizations, obtaining licenses for export, import, and brokering of controlled products and technology, and investigating company trade practices. With this experience Karri also developed a strong business understanding of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), a valuable resource as she counsels clients in this area.
Having studied and worked in various Latin American countries, Karri brings a unique cultural perspective to her work on international matters.
