Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP will be honored by the Columbus Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Foundation for its diligent efforts in pro bono service. The award honors the efforts of several Porter Wright attorneys for their work in the area of Domestic Violence and will be presented at the Foundation's annual meeting.
Beginning in 2003, the firm has worked in conjunction with Lawyers for Justice and Capital University's Domestic Violence Clinic to provide pro bono representation to those unable to afford counsel. Cases have involved providing assistance to victims of domestic violence in divorce and dissolution of marriage, as well as providing resource recommendations for possible additional assistance needs.
Now in its 54th year, The Columbus Bar Foundation will host its annual meeting at The Hyatt on Capital Square. Miles Avery, OSU Men's Gymnastic and Assistant US Olympic Coach, will be the featured speaker.
