Jeff's practice focuses on advising oil & gas clients on day-to-day operational, governance, environmental, employment and contracting issues. In addition, his environmental practice encompasses permitting and regulatory compliance, environmental audits and assessments, SARA Title III/EPCRA, solid and hazardous waste disposal and CERCLA. Jeff also serves as co-editor of the Firm's
Oil & Gas Law Report blog.
His experience includes serving as operations engineer and corporate counsel for a natural gas distribution company, as well as general counsel and corporate secretary for one of the largest pipeline companies in the U.S. Jeff also served as a real estate and environmental attorney for a large law firm in Toledo, Ohio, and previously managed his own private practice in Findlay, Ohio, where he assisted clients in oil & gas, environmental, real estate, estate planning, probate and business transactions.
In conjunction with his legal career, Jeff served in the U.S. Naval Reserves for nearly 20 years, achieving the rank of Captain. He also spent five years on active sea duty as an officer in the U.S. Navy.
