Porter Wright has challenged the USCIS in federal court when an unfavorable decision was not supported by law. In Residential Finance vs. USCIS, the federal court upheld our client’s position and issued a ground breaking statement of law pertaining to the H-1B visa, a decision recognized by the American Immigration Lawyers Association as a significant achievement. Rob Cohen, our practice group leader, was awarded the Jack Wasserman Memorial Award for Excellence in Immigration Litigation for his work on this case.

We are also active members of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Our attorneys play key roles within the association and currently serve as chair of AILA’s USCIS Benefits Committee and participate in the annual ALIA Global Forum.
