Dan works with both private and public companies as they expand through mergers and acquisitions, and facilitates growth strategies through equity, debt and complex financing transactions. Dan advises clients on a variety of international business and trade matters, including customs broker and NVOCC certification and dual-use export restrictions. Dan also works with Ohio-based Japanese automotive component manufacturers to navigate international supply chain and contract issues.
Dan is also a member of Porter Wright's Oil & Gas Practice Group, where he counsels pipeline and natural gas companies regarding real property, easement, and general corporate matters.
Dan advises wireless telecommunications carriers on matters of new cell site deployment to build out legacy and state-of-the-art wireless technologies nationwide. His experience includes providing counsel on issues and opportunities related to 3G and 4G LTE upgrades using macro, distributed antenna system (DAS), micro and small cell technologies. This also includes negotiating DAS, small cell, and Wi-Fi agreements with both large and small venues, stadiums, and other entities.
Prior to joining Porter Wright, Dan served as a foreign law clerk at the Law Offices of Yanagida & Nomura in Tokyo, Japan. He also clerked for The Honorable Judge F. Dennis Saylor IV, U.S. District Judge for the District of Massachusetts.
