Community

Give back and pay forward -- to help keep the communities in which we practice strong and vital. It’s a simple belief that is at the core of our culture at Porter Wright. Every year, in each of our offices, attorneys, paralegals, and staff share their time, skills and financial support where it can have the greatest impact. And collectively, we believe we are making a real difference. We roll up your sleeves to haul boxes, serve meals, or wield paint brushes to support families and individuals in need. We run, walk, ride, and swim to support health initiatives from innovative cancer research to heart disease prevention. We teach, sow, and plant to encourage environmental responsibility. We serve on Boards and donate pro bono legal services for civic, cultural and artistic aspects of our communities.

Recently, the firm's collective community efforts were recognized when Porter Wright was presented with a 2013 Corporate Caring Award. The firm was honored particularly for its dedication to supporting the arts in Central Ohio. "Our firm donates substantial resources to causes that make a difference," said Rich Terapak, a partner and leader of the firm's charitable contributions committee. "When you're doing business in a community, you want the community to be vibrant and prosperous. The arts contribute to that vitality."

As a firm, we support more than 100 civic and charitable organizations, including those:
