Mr. Romano's areas of concentration are antitrust and trade regulation counseling, litigation and complex commerical litigation including class actions. He has provided antitrust counseling to clients and litigated cases, running the range of Sherman Act, Clayton Act, Hart-Scott-Rodino Act, Robinson-Patman Act, and Federal Trade Commission Act competition and trade regulation issues in various industries such as health care, pharmaceutical, automotive aftermarket, greeting card, toy, agricultural, and telecommunications. Mr. Romano has represented clients in structuring and analyzing acquisitions, mergers and joint ventures, as well as B2B and related Internet issues. He has handled federal and state governmental antitrust matters, including civil investigations, administrative hearings and grand jury investigations.

Mr. Romano's other antitrust experience includes cases involving hospital Certificate of Need matters and health care issues, intellectual property issues, regulated industries, and standard setting. He also has represented clients in a range of matters before the Federal regulatory agencies, Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice, and the Federal Trade Commission. In addition, Mr. Romano has handled a wide range of complex non-antitrust litigation matters including intellectual property, unfair and deceptive trade practices, business torts, RICO, and commercial/corporate matters.
