Three attorneys join Columbus office

Porter Wright is pleased to welcome Abbigail Brothers, Matthew Strayer and Megan Whited, who have joined Porter Wright as associates in the firm's Columbus office.

Brothers works in the Corporate Department, where she concentrates her practice in the areas of employee benefits and tax. She assists clients with transactional issues affecting corporations, taxation, corporate structure and employee benefits. Prior to joining Porter Wright, Brothers served as a judicial extern for Chief Judge R. Guy Cole, Jr. of the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Brothers received a J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, cum laude.

Strayer works in the firm’s Litigation Department. Prior to joining Porter Wright, he was a legal intern at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law Civil Law Clinic. Previous to the internship, he was a clerk and legal extern in several capacities, including for U.S. District Court Judge Michael H. Watson in the Southern District of Ohio. Strayer received a J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, magna cum laude.

Whited works in the firm’s Corporate Department and is a member of the Corporate and Securities, and Real Estate practice groups. She has significant experience in transactional law and has worked on projects involving corporate governance, securities, legal disclosures, real estate, commercial leasing and employment issues, among others. Before joining Porter Wright, Whited served as in-house counsel at DSW Inc. She received a J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, and a B.A. from the University of Dayton, summa cum laude.
